The Kavli Center is a collaborator on a new grant to the Adler Planetarium and the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics at the University of Chicago.
The project aims to engage citizen scientists with experts across disciplines to explore the tensions of integrating machine learning (ML) within citizen science and determining what responsible use of AI/ML in citizen science looks like. Recommendations that come out of this process will be trialed by the citizen science platform, Zooniverse.
